Summary
This class action filed in the Federal Court is based on allegations of double ticketing of several products offered by the defendant Wal-Mart Canada Corp. It is alleged that certain products in stores are sold at a higher price than that posted online, which would constitute a violation of the Competition Act.
Proposed Class
All persons in Canada who, since February 3, 2023, have purchased a product at a Wal-Mart Canada Corp. outlet and who have paid more for that product than the amount displayed at another Wal-Mart Canada Corp. outlet at the same time.
Conclusions sought:
Equivalent damages between online and in-store prices for the same product
